trini moved from chile in 2003 and did a BA and MA in creative writing at roehampton where she met nikki. she is currently working on a novel and several poetry collections. she refuses to give up her spanish therefore, fairly often, you find a blend of spanish – english in her writing. trini has been nominated for best of the net. |

nikki grew up in london and attended state school. she also did her BA and MA at roehampton. nikki's novel, 'ellipsis', was published by sparkling books (2010). her novel, 'volta', won the Virginia Prize 2020 and was published in May 2021 by Aurora Metro Books.
her poetry collection, 'hope alt delete', is available from the knives forks and spoons press. her chapbook 'exits/origins' (2010) was also published by KFS. her poem appeared in the Blackpool Illuminations 2016. her hybrid chapbook 'i'd better let you go' and collection, 'fanny b. mine' were published by Beir Bua Press in 2021 but are now out of print. she has a pamphlet 'exorcism becomes habit' (2023) with Hem Press and had forthcoming one with Broken Sleep Books (2024). she was nominated for best of the net 2022 and shortlisted in the saboteur awards 2023.
she runs writing workshops and set up MumWrite, which is a development programme for writing mums. read more on her personal website.

Leone is a novelist, short story writer, editor and lecturer in fiction writing. She was born in England and grew up in Jamaica. Her first novel, All The Blood Is Red was published by Angela Royal Publishing (1996) and was long listed for the Orange Prize in 1997. Her second critically acclaimed novel, Orange Laughter was published in the UK by Anchor Press. In 2013, her short story collection, Lipstick, Lighters, Pens & Porn was shortlisted for Salt Publishing's Scott Prize. Leone has acted as a judge for the Manchester Prize for Fiction and judges the Wimbledon Bookfest Short Story Prize. Her US collections include Dark Matter: A Century of Speculative Fiction from the African Diaspora (Warner 2000), which was named the New York Times Notable Book 2000, the Washington Post Editor's Choice 2001 and the US Black Writers Alliance Gold Pen Award Winner for Best Anthology. She co-edited the award-winning Whispers in The Walls: New Black and Asian Writing from Birmingham (Tindal Street Press, 2002). The collection won a West Midlands Arts Diversity award. Ross has worked at Cardiff University, as British Fellow at Trinity College Dublin, in adult education at the City Literary Institute London and with the UK Arvon Foundation. She is Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at Roehampton University.

Sascha Aurora Akhtar is a poet of the liminal; a performer with a background in Butoh, Music, Film & Photography. To Sascha, all is magic and she spends a great deal of time talking about this with her students, mentees & audiences at universities, centres for poetry & performance spaces. Sascha has been published by Salt UK, Shearsman UK, Contraband UK, Emma Press, Knives, Forks & Spoons Press & ZimZalla UK; she has six collections of poetry available.
Her first book of translations is upcoming with Oxford University Press, India and her first fiction collection, Necessity & Wanting, was published in Autumn 2020 by The 87 Press. She works with energy in all things, especially poetry & considers herself a "Pakistani-British-American" : both these things are reflected in her work. She has been writing and performing internationally for two decades. All upcoming performance and teaching engagements are listed on her author page. Poems For Eliot from #LoveLikeBlood was named the number one poem of the last five years in Poetry Wales in the summer of 2019. She is the recipient of a #DYCP grant from the Arts Council England.
